Can You Bring a Dog to Angel Stadium? Pet Policy Explained

Short answer: No, you cannot bring a dog to Angel Stadium. The stadium's pet policy prohibits all animals except trained service animals that meet ADA guidelines. This applies to all regular-season games, postseason games, concerts, and other events held at the venue.

Unlike some MLB stadiums that host "Bark in the Park" or "Pups in the Park" events, Angel Stadium has not offered a dog-friendly game day in recent years. If this changes for the 2026 season, we'll update this post.

So what are your options if you're a dog owner heading to a game?

Option 1: Drop your dog at Dogdrop Anaheim

This is the most convenient option by far. Dogdrop Anaheim is located at 1950 E Gene Autry Way, directly across the street from Angel Stadium. You can literally walk your dog from the parking lot to our front door in under 2 minutes.

We're an open-play dog daycare, meaning your dog gets to play and socialize in supervised groups (no crates or kennels). We bill by the half hour, so you only pay for the time you're at the game. Our staff is Pet CPR/First Aid certified, and every dog goes through a Good Fit Test before their first visit.

For a typical 3-4 hour game, expect to pay roughly $30-50 depending on your membership status. That's less than what most people spend on stadium food.

Option 2: Leave your dog at home or with a sitter

If your dog isn't comfortable in a daycare environment, hiring a pet sitter or asking a friend or family member to watch your pup is always a good fallback. Apps like Rover can connect you with local sitters near the stadium area.

Option 3: Stay at a pet-friendly hotel nearby

If you're visiting Anaheim from out of town, several hotels in the area accept pets, including Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area and some properties near the Anaheim Convention Center. Just make sure your dog is comfortable being alone, and never leave them unattended for more than a few hours.

What NOT to do:

Do not leave your dog in your car. Even on mild days, temperatures inside a parked car can reach dangerous levels within minutes. During Anaheim summers, when game-time temperatures regularly hit 85-95°F, a parked car can exceed 130°F inside. California law allows bystanders to break car windows to rescue distressed animals, and you could face animal cruelty charges.

Do not try to sneak your dog into the stadium. Security will turn you away at the gate, and you'll waste time going back to deal with your dog situation.

Do not rely on the stadium having any pet accommodations. There are no pet check areas, kennels, or holding spots at Angel Stadium.

Planning ahead makes game day easy:

If you know you're going to an Angels game, book a Good Fit Test at Dogdrop ahead of time so your dog is already in the system on game day. Season ticket holders should consider a Dogdrop membership for the best per-hour rates throughout the season.

The bottom line: Angel Stadium doesn't allow dogs, but that doesn't mean dog owners can't enjoy a game. With Dogdrop right across the street, your dog gets supervised play time while you enjoy the game. It's a win-win.
