The Good Fit Test helps us maintain a safe, fun, and healthy environment for everyone by ensuring that Dogdrop is a great fit for your pup. It’s not about whether your dog is “good enough”
for us—it’s about finding the right environment where they can thrive.

We believe that happy dogs make happy parents. The Good Fit Test helps us maintain a safe, fun, and healthy environment for everyone by ensuring that Dogdrop is a great fit for your pup. It’s not about whether your dog is “good enough” for us—it’s about finding the right environment where they can thrive.

What we look for in Good Dog Citizens

We assess three key factors to ensure a perfect fit, giving your dog access to any of our locations.

Dog Friendliness

We like to ensure your pup knows how to mix and mingle with other dogs. We assess their ability to match play levels, understand cues, and engage in safe interactions. They don’t need to be a pro—that’s what we’re here for—but we’ll make sure they’re comfortable and safe with their new friends.

Is your dog cool with our daycare attendants, aka “Droperators,” or do they prefer to keep their distance from humans? We totally understand—some pups take their time to warm up. No hard feelings, but we do want to make sure they're at ease and safe with our Care Team.

Daycares aren’t a one size fits all. We’ll be looking at how your pup adjusts to our space—checking for signs like going for water, feeling comfortable using the bathroom, sniffing around, and interest in activities.. If your dog is a little nervous, no problem. We encourage easing into it when needed.

How we evaluate

Our Fit Scale

Green

All good! Your dog is comfortable and ready to join the fun.

Yellow

Some hesitation. We might need to work on a few things, that’s what we’re here for!

Red

Not the best fit right now. We’ll chat with you about next steps.

Here’s what the ratings mean

Strong Pass

Three greens or two greens and a yellow. Your dog is good to go! We’ll share any areas that might need a bit of attention, but they’re welcome to join us.

Pass

Two yellows and a green, or two greens and a red. We’ll review together some areas for improvement (we all have some). If so, we’ll invite your dog to join conditionally, with a plan to reevaluate as they settle in and progress.

Not now

Two reds. Dog daycare isn't a one size fits all. We’re not the best fit right now, but don’t worry—we’ll suggest some steps you can take, and you’re welcome to try again later.
