Dog-Friendly Things to Do Near Disneyland

Anaheim is more than just theme parks. If you're visiting the Disneyland area with your dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly activities to enjoy together before or after your park day — or on a rest day between visits.

Yorba Regional Park is one of the best dog-friendly spots near Disneyland, located about 15 minutes east in Anaheim Hills. The park features miles of paved trails, open green spaces, and lakes where your dog can enjoy a long walk or some off-leash time in designated areas. It's a great way to let your pup burn off energy.

Huntington Dog Beach in nearby Huntington Beach (about 30 minutes from Disneyland) is one of Southern California's most famous off-leash dog beaches. Dogs can run free on the sand and splash in the waves along a 1.5-mile stretch of coastline. It's worth the drive for a memorable outing with your pup.

Downtown Anaheim's Packing District is a pet-friendly food hall and outdoor dining area where leashed dogs are welcome on the patios. Grab coffee, brunch, or craft beer while your dog relaxes beside you. The area has a laid-back, walkable vibe that's fun to explore.

Parts of Downtown Disney District also allow leashed dogs in outdoor areas, though dogs cannot enter the theme parks or most indoor shops and restaurants. It's a nice spot for an evening stroll with your pup.

Many Anaheim-area hotels are pet-friendly, including several near Disneyland Resort. Always confirm pet policies and fees before booking, as they vary by property.

When you're ready to head into Disneyland or Disney California Adventure (where dogs aren't allowed), Dogdrop Anaheim has you covered. Located at 1950 E Gene Autry Way in the Griffis Apartments — just minutes from the resort — Dogdrop offers drop-in, hourly dog daycare with no appointments needed. Your dog gets supervised open-play socialization while you enjoy the parks, and you only pay for the time you use.

Our staff is Pet CPR and First Aid certified, and every new dog starts with a free Good Fit Test. It's the easiest way to make your Anaheim trip fun for everyone — including your four-legged travel companion.
