Where to Leave Your Dog During an Angels Game: The Complete Guide

If you're heading to an Angels game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim and wondering what to do with your dog, you're not alone. Angel Stadium doesn't allow pets inside the venue (with the exception of trained service animals), so you'll need a plan for your pup before you head to the ballpark.

The good news? There's a dog daycare literally across the street.

Dogdrop Anaheim is located at 1950 E Gene Autry Way — directly across the street from Angel Stadium at 2000 E Gene Autry Way. It's about a 2-minute walk from our front door to the stadium entrance. We're inside the GRIFFIS Apartments building in downtown Anaheim's Platinum Triangle neighborhood.

Here's how game day works with Dogdrop:

Drop off your dog before the game. No appointment needed — just walk in. We'll do a quick check-in and your dog joins one of three energy-matched play zones with our trained staff.

Enjoy the game. Your dog plays, socializes, and gets real-time attention from Pet CPR/First Aid certified handlers. We'll text you updates so you can focus on the game.

Pick up after the game. We bill by the half hour, so you only pay for the time you use. A typical 3-4 hour Angels game costs about the same as a stadium parking pass.

Walk back to your car with a tired, happy dog.

What makes Dogdrop different from other options:

We use an open-play model — no crates, no kennels. Dogs are separated by energy level and supervised the entire time. Every dog goes through our Good Fit Test (a free 1-2 hour trial) before their first visit to make sure they're comfortable in a social setting.

Pet-friendly hotels nearby include Residence Inn Anaheim and some properties near the Anaheim Convention Center, though leaving your dog alone in a hotel room for 4+ hours isn't ideal.

Important: Never leave your dog in the car during an Angels game. Anaheim temperatures regularly exceed 90°F during summer, and it's both dangerous for your dog and illegal in California.

Tips for game day with your dog:

Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before first pitch so you have time to drop off and walk to the stadium.

Bring your dog's vaccination records for the first visit (we require up-to-date rabies, DHPP, and bordetella).

If you're coming from out of town, feel free to call or text us ahead so we can get your dog in our system: (510) 925-2142 and we'll make sure to greet your pup with a big hello!

Consider a Dogdrop membership if you're a season ticket holder — the per-hour rate drops significantly and you get priority access on busy game days.

The 2026 Angels season runs from late March through September, with home games typically on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. That's peak daycare hours, and we're open 7 days a week to accommodate the schedule.

Whether you're a die-hard Angels fan or just visiting Anaheim for a game, having your dog taken care of across the street makes the whole experience easier. Drop off, walk over, enjoy the game, walk back, pick up your happy pup. It doesn't get more convenient than that.
