Dogdrop Riverfront opens its doors on Thursday, June 18, 2026, inside Riverfront Pets at 311 Justison Street. It is our seventh location, our first in Delaware, and the first Dogdrop ever to live inside an existing pet retail business.

Day one is a soft open for our first 75 founding members.

Why we're inside Riverfront Pets

When dog parents in Wilmington ask where to put their dog for a few hours, the answer has historically been somewhere out by Concord Pike, in the car, on a schedule that does not match real life.

We do not think dog daycare should be hard to get to. We think it should live in the places dog parents already go.

Riverfront Pets has been one of those places since 2017. It is locally owned, deeply trusted, and walked into every day by people who love their dogs. When Rekha Thadkapalli took over Riverfront Pets in October 2025, she had a thought: what if we added the daycare format Wilmington has been missing, inside the business Wilmington already trusts?

We built our store-within-a-store format for exactly this. Same Dogdrop training, same safety protocols, same Good Fit Test, same membership tiers, same operating platform. New footprint. Inside a business you already know.
